After years of meditation practice, therapy, and self-reflection to try to untie the gordian knot of workaholism in my life, I turned to Carol Shannon for help. I asked Carol if she could help me to release my work obsession using her talents in evolutionary astrology (or as I call it, astrological counseling).
I didn’t come to our first meeting with a lot of expectations as I have zero knowledge of astrology and am not a dyed-in-the-wool “believer”. However, by the time our work concluded, I had found so much more ease, calm, and readiness to transform my chronic work obsession into a healthy and sustainable way of living and contributing.
During the reading, Carol posited some conclusions about my life and tendencies based on the relationships between the planets in my chart and asked me a few targeted questions about my growing up years. Her questions spoke directly to my childhood and young adult experiences and provided me with a new view of how I came to identify as a “hard worker”. Carol then provided me with some “homework,” including questions for reflection (and writing) on my childhood and current relationships with power and what I would like my relationship with power to be now, so I could further our work on my own.

I had a reading with Carol last month and it was a great experience. I have had several readings in the past, but Carol is truly a master. My previous readings with other people were unhelpful and shallow. They were trying to predict my future. Carol by contrast is a true professional who really knows her craft. She asked me some basic questions a week prior to our meeting so she could be prepared. During our reading she took her time to explain her readings and I felt that she was totally with me the entire time and was my guide and counselor. She explained that she wasn't going to try to predict my future ( a wonderful surprise), but that she would offer me suggestions and advice based on her reading and it was up to me to decide how to proceed.
